TRIGGERS: MURDER, MISOGYNY, RAPE, SELF HARM, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SUICIDE

Bound as one to love, honor, or burn.

Two years ago, Louise le Blanc fled her coven and took shelter in the city of Cesarine, forsaking all magic and living off whatever she could steal. There, witches like Lou are hunted. They are feared. And they are burned.

Sworn to the Church as a Chasseur, Reid Diggory has lived his life by one principle: thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. His path was never meant to cross with Lou’s, but a wicked stunt forces them into an impossible union—holy matrimony.

The war between witches and Church is an ancient one, and Lou’s most dangerous enemies bring a fate worse than fire. Unable to ignore her growing feelings, yet powerless to change what she is, a choice must be made.

And love makes fools of us all.

MY REVIEW:
** spoiler alert ** Wow wow wow!!!!!! The hype is so real with this one. This was my first audiobook I’ve ever listened to and it took me almost two months to finish. 🙊🤷🏼‍♀️
I prob won’t listen to another audiobook that’s a novel—only because if I started reading this as an ebook or physical book I would have pulled an all nighter to finish it.

That ending though!!! Sh*t 😩😅

This was the first mystical/fantasy novel I’ve read and I am hooked. It took me a bit to get used to the narration without wanting to laugh at the narrators over exaggerating everything (esp Reid) but Lou & Reid’s love story is one for the books. The classssssic enemies to lovers. It is the sweetest thing that didn’t just happen overnight or easily.

The novel also has a lot of twists. Especially with the parental aspect—I never saw any of that coming. I can’t wait for blood & honey to come out. I loved the part of the story where they talked about mixing blood with honey and 🤯💡 went off. I love when titles of books are made obvious in the story lol.

Is this book a read? HECK YES! The rumors and reviews and all very true about the book. The story flows extremely well, all the characters are like able. I loved it all!
